Greenburgh cops charge man with heroin distribution

TARRYTOWN — A Bronx man is facing felony drug charges after, Greenburgh police say, he was caught with 60 decks of heroin.

The Greenburgh Police Drug and Alcohol Task Force on Wednesday arrested Ruben A. Santos after receiving a tip that he’d been delivering heroin to customers in Greenburgh and its villages.

Santos was spotted driving a 1990 Geo Prism near the intersection of Broadway and White Plains Road shortly before 7 p.m. When he parked the car and got out, police arrested him.

The heroin was worth $1,000, police said.

Santos, 55, was charged with third-and fouth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
