DOBBS FERRY — Police said they arrested five people and seized about 100 pounds of marijuana and $67,000 during a raid of a Gould Avenue house after an 11-month investigation by members of the Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force.
Dobbs Ferry police and members of the Greenburgh SWAT team entered the house at 5 Gould Ave. with a warrant about 10:20 last night, arresting those inside and seizing the marijuana, which cops said was packaged for sale and worth about $300,000 on the street.
Police said they also found $67,000 and a number of false identification documents.
Arrested were Manuel Mendoza-Rivera, 34, and Manny Ramirez, who both lived in the house; Sergio Vargas, 36, of the Bronx; and Carlos Rodriguez, 32, and Jenny Pena, 31, both of Manhattan.
All were charged with first-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a felony. Mendoza-Rivera, also known as James W. Castro and Edward Henriquez, is also wanted in New York City on a felonry kidnapping warrant, police said.
Police said the investigation was launched in January, after authorities received a tip about suspicious activity at the house from an informant.
Those arrested are being held without bail at the Westchester County jail in Valhalla and are due Village Court on Nov. 18.
Police said the investigation is continuing and that more charges and arrests are likely.
